U9 - Edit, U9, 2024 (Mitchell Minor Fastball)

 The S. Elliott Masonry U9 girls fastball team competed in their year end tournament and got a silver medal in the B division. Early Saturday morning Mitchell beat Exeter #2 4 - 1. It was a slow start but in the third inning and second time through the order Shaylyn Smith doubled with two outs and Brooklyn Smith cashed her in with a double of her own to take a 1 - 0 lead. In the next inning doubles by Maria Marshall and Madison Ahrens, with two rbi's, increased the lead to 4 - 0.  The S.Elliott Masonry Ltd U9 girls fastball team has finally started their season. In their first game of the year a strong Goderich team came away with a 8-0 win. Brooklyn Smith had Mitchell's only hit. Esme Bakewell, Smith and Emma Elliott all pitched an inning. In their second game of the year against Seaforth Yellow, Mitchell loaded the bases in the first inning with hits from Smith, Shaylyn Smith and Lilah Payne-McCleary but couldn't produce any runs. Mitchell lost a close game 3-0.
